How to Choose the Proper Size CupolaThe rule of thumb for choosing the proper size cupola is: 'For every foot of ridge line, you should have 1" to 1.25" of cupola width. So, measure the roof line of your building and times it by 1 or 1.25. This equation will get the cupola into proportion for you. The 1.25" per foot is highly recommended on buildings 2 stories or more. Below are a few examples of our more popular sizes using this rule of thumb. Click on any picture for an enlarged view.
